Internships are available for a variety of students, including those interested in the fields of nursing, counseling, social work, and psychology. Clinical experiences include the following key components:

  • Outpatient mental health services
  • Inpatient clinical services, support and care
  • Clinical assessment and treatment planning
  • Integrated screenings and outcome monitoring
  • Comprehensive care coordination

Evidence-based Practice

Our clinical services are grounded in evidence-based clinical methods, and students will learn and be exposed to a wide variety of these practices, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Trauma Focused CBT
  • CBT for Suicide Prevention
  • Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
  • Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS)
  • Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy
  • Parent Child Interactive Therapy
  • Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)

Clinical Supervision

Students on a clinical track should expect at least one hour per week of one-on-one supervision with their supervisor.

Students can also expect to be a part of routine treatment team meetings led by a psychiatrist.

Training Opportunities

Interns will have access to a wide variety of training and professional development experiences that are offered to staff on an ongoing basis. These include in-person classroom/workshop style trainings, virtual clinical reviews and consultations, and access to conferences and seminars.
