The Byars Center is a psychiatric residential care facility for adolescents who have serious behavioral health needs, primarily justice-involved youth; the center also accepts referrals from other child-serving state agencies, as clinically appropriate. It provides treatment, rehabilitative services, educational services, indoor and outdoor recreation, transportation, and security.
